Welcoming the Taoiseach of Ireland Micheál Martin to the European Parliament for a debate on the priorities of the Irish Presidency of the EU Council with MEPs, President Metsola said that the European Parliament will be a steadfast partner in delivering on competitiveness and security.
Opening the Plenary Session in Strasbourg, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola said that Europe will continue to step up to help Venezuelans in their moment of need.
At the beginning of the Plenary Session, the European Parliament marked the 31st anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica. In her address, President Metsola said that Parliament is committed to peace, justice and reconciliation.
Addressing the 250th Anniversary of the United States events in Brussels, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola said that these are the celebrations of a transatlantic partnership that has created history’s best of times and stood solid through the worst of times over the last 250 years.
